Working with architects and interior designers

A maker who will work to your details, give your client a clear choice of designs, and turn up on site when the programme says.

  • Drawings you can work with

We work from your drawings or produce CAD elevations and details for your review, ready to include in planning and listed building consent packages.

  • A library of proven patterns

Our design album gives your client a fast way to choose a direction. We then adapt the pattern to your proportions and details.

  • Finishes specified properly

Galvanising and paint systems for exterior work, and waxed, blackened, bronzed or gilded finishes inside, with samples on request.

  • Regulations considered early

Guarding heights, opening sizes and climbability under Approved Document K are built into the design. Structural elements are checked by an engineer.

  • Coordinated on site

Fixing details agreed with the main contractor, templates taken from finished surfaces, and installation sequenced with other trades.

  • Heritage experience

Like-for-like repair and replication of historic railings and balconies, working to approved details and the conservation officer's conditions.

Questions we are often asked

Can you price from our tender drawings?

Yes. Send drawings and a specification and we will come back with questions and a quotation. Where details are still open, we can suggest options that suit forging and keep the budget in check.

Do you provide structural calculations?

Structural elements such as spiral staircases and large balconies are checked by a structural engineer, and we coordinate with yours where one is appointed. Balustrades and guarding are designed to the loads in the Building Regulations.

Can we visit or see samples?

We can bring the design album and finish samples to your studio or to site, and show photographs of previous work at the same scale.

Do you offer trade terms?

We are happy to discuss terms for designers and practices who specify us regularly. Get in touch and tell us about your projects.
